PORTLAND, Maine (WGME) -- The first cruise ship of the season has docked in Portland’s harbor. Victory I arrived around 7 a.m. on Thursday with more than 200 passengers onboard.
Last year, 110 ships brought 157,775 passengers to Maine’s largest city, generating at least $13 million in economic impact in the Greater Portland area, according to Visit Portland.
On days when there are more than 2,500 cruise ship passengers in Portland, the shuttle is expected to run between 8 a.m.—4 p.m, said the Visit Portland press release.
