The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. in a cornfield near Stauffer Road in Warwick Township shortly after Nazeeri departed from the Lancaster Airport. He was the sole occupant of the plane.

Police said the pilot, identified as Dr. Musaddiq Nazeeri, 58, of South Londonderry Township, was killed in the crash.
