Robert bought a 40-acre parcel for $50 and built a one-room log house. He later paid $80 to have the land broken and readied for planting. At that time the Folsom home was the largest in the area.

The shootings happened Sunday morning at a one-room log cabin in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest about 15 miles southeast of the town of Deer Lodge, Police Chief Tim Barkell said.
