Karl Chludinsky, 46, of Margate, was identified by Fort Lauderdale Police as the suspect who shot at them when officers tried to enter his room at the Holiday Inn Express.

Karl Chludinsky, 46, was likely in the midst of a mental health episode when he was killed after exchanging gunfire with Fort Lauderdale police, his ex-wife told the Miami Herald.
