A registered sex offender was arrested in St. Lucie County following a SWAT team operation as part of an investigation into internet crimes against children.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office (SLCSO) said its SWAT Team is executing a search warrant at the 7900 block of Citrus Park Boulevard in the Lakewood Park area.

Timothy Ferreira, 26, has been accused of multiple child porn and abuse charges as a result of a search warrant executed on his St. Lucie County home.
