The Peoria Rivermen have signed a five-year deal with the Peoria Civic Center that will keep them in Carver Arena through the 2028-29 season.
The Rivermen signed a five-year lease with the Peoria Civic Center on Tuesday, keeping the 43-year pro hockey franchise in the only venue it's ever called home.
Civic Center general manager Rik Edgar, in an Oct. 25 Journal Star story, forecast an agreement was imminent, pointing to a desire between the authority and Rivermen to make a deal.
