NEWTON COUNTY — Police say an 86-year-old motorist died after disregarding a stop sign late Wednesday afternoon and colliding with a semi-trailer truck.

All three died of a gunshot wound to the head, Swanson said, and while still under investigation Swanson said the incident appears to have been a murder-suicide.

A Bloomington man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash on U.S. Highway 66.
