Blue Origin, the rocket company owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, announced the trip earlier this year. Six women are scheduled Monday to take the first all-female flight into space since 1963.
Blue Origin describes New Glenn as “our giant, reusable rocket built for bigger things.” The “giant” bit is apt: The rocket stands over 320 ft (98 m) high.
Blue Origin’s new rocket, which was raised for the first time on a Kennedy Space Center launchpad in February, stands at about 320 feet (98 meters) tall.
