Orange County Fire Authority said thousands of fires and injuries are caused by fireworks during the July 4th holiday.

The fire was reported shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday in the 24000 block of Apehna Avenue, according to the Orange County Fire Authority. The blaze threatened the attacked two-story home.

Fire crews from Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, the city of Orange and the Orange County Fire Authority battled a three-alarm fire Sunday on Costa Mesa’s Cadillac Avenue.
