At the Outer Banks, Nags Head Ocean Rescue and crews in Corolla say that people on large inflatables or even paddleboards get blown out to sea about once a week — and need help.

The twin-engine Beechcraft went down in the water near Pacific Grove shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, authorities said.
