The adjutant general of the North Dakota National Guard is retiring at the end of September, capping a 40-year military service career, Gov. Doug Burgum announced Friday.
The South Dakota National Guard promoted Deborah Bartunek, of Rapid City, to the rank of brigadier general during a ceremony at Joint Force Headquarters on April 1, 2023.
Huber, who also serves as president of the North Dakota National Guard Foundation, said about $8 million in private donations have been raised out of the $40 million fundraising goal.
