The former Iowa tight end was released by the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday after spending three seasons in the Pacific Northwest. Reports are that the Seahawks released Fant to give more playing time to a couple of younger tight ends on the roster, AJ Barner and Elijah Arroyo.

Tight end Noah Fant, who had 130 catches for 1,400 yards and 5 TDs in his three seasons with the Seahawks, has been released, saving almost $9 million in cap space.

Tight end Noah Fant has been released, per a team announcement. One year remained on his contract with a nonguaranteed base salary of $8.49MM owed. Rather than keeping Fant in the fold for 2025, Seattle will move on.
