George Clooney is proud of his former “E.R.” co-star Noah Wyle for the success of the Apple TV + series “The Pitt.” In an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” June 3, Clooney said he and Wyle had been “dear friends” since shooting their own medical drama.

Having already spent years playing a doctor on ER, The Pitt star Noah Wyle had a pretty noble and inspiring reason for returning to the medical genre.

Clooney and Wyle, who played Doug Ross and John Carter, respectively, starred alongside each other on the hit medical drama for five seasons before Clooney exited the series to focus on other acting endeavors. Wyle continued with the show through season 11, making guest appearances in seasons 12 and 15. ER ran from 1994 to 2009.
