A former homicide detective does not believe authorities in New England are ruling "anything out" after 11 bodies have been found in the area since March 1.

The New England Serial Killer Facebook group, which has 57,000 members, garnered more than 10,000 new members last week and over the weekend, as MassLive.com first reported.

Denise Leary, 59, a mother of two who disappeared in September, was discovered in New Haven on March 21. Michele Romano, 56, of Warwick, New York, was found on March 26 in Foster.

Rumors of a New England serial killer are swirling online, and some people are speculating that a body found in Springfield could be connected to others found across the region.
