For the new Nest Learning Thermostat, the Google Home app is launching a revamped page to control the temperature and other settings. And, as it turns out, that’s coming to older models as well.

The revamped Google Home thermostat UI with simpler controls is currently available in the app’s Public Preview (v3.20.1.8) and may arrive in the stable channel this month.

Since then, Nest has become a household name due largely to the ease of use of the smart devices combined with Google's Home app. The company officially branded the Nest as Google Nest in May 2019.

On a Nest Protect front, if you are already enrolled in the Google Home Public Preview (with version 3.27 or higher, sign-up) on Android, you should already see your Nest Protect devices in the app.
