According to Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes, the alleged shooter Natalie Rupnow, who went by the name Samantha, was a student at Abundant Life Christian School—where the incident took place.

On December 16 at 9.30 p.m. ET at a news conference, police identified 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow as the shooter in the killings at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin.
