The body of 62-year-old Marites Buenafe, a missing cruise passenger, has been found after she vanished while on a solo hike in Alaska, authorities have said.
The woman was reported missing a day after her birthday when she went on a hike but then did not return to her cruise ship, the Norwegian Bliss.

At around 3:15, Buenafe was reported missing. Alaska Wildlife Troopers were alerted to her disappearance shortly afterwards, according to a news release from the Alaska Department of Public Safety.
Marites Buenafe, 62, a University of Kentucky Healthcare employee, was reported missing July 1. Her body was found by Alaska Army National Guard.
However, after that text to her family, Buenafe hasn’t been seen went missing and police have been searching for her for the last two days.
