Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino Sunday amid his first overseas trip, as the Trump administration makes a push for control of the Panama Canal.
Mulino went on to say he informed Rubio of an "important" decision he made not to renew the 2017 agreement with China on the Belt and Road Initiative, which aims to establish a massive economic zone.
