MADHEPURA: One Dilip Kumar (32), mukhiya of Dinapatti-Sakhua village under Murliganj block in Madhepura district, was allegedly shot dead by criminals on Friday for refusing to pay extortion.

He tried in 2020 also, but his wife, who served as mukhiya after winning in 2016 to give her husband the ‘mukhiya’ title, lost from Harnaut, but finished second. She had polled nearly 40000 votes.

Reportedly, Neemki Mukhiya actor Vijay Kumar has been arrested in Patna after absconding from the police since 2020. Read on for details.
