PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A search is underway in the Trillium Lake area for a 52-year-old experienced mountain biker who left his Gresham home early Friday and hasn’t been seen since.

The woman was hiking the Basher Trail in Alaska's Chugach Mountains when the bear attacked and mauled her, the Anchorage Fire Department said.

First discovered in 1991, Litoria stellarum is a rare new tree frog species found near a waterfall in Papua New Guinea’s Dokfuma Meadow in the Star Mountains.
