The Montreal Canadiens had their winning streak snapped against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night, but did get a point by forcing overtime.

Evan Bouchard scored off Connor McDavid’s nifty centering pass after McDavid circled the Montreal zone late in overtime to the give the Edmonton Oilers a 3-2 victory over the Canadiens on Thursday night.

The Edmonton Oilers needed a confidence boost and got one in thrilling fashion against the Montreal Canadiens.

Evan Bouchard scored with seven seconds left in overtime to give the Edmonton Oilers a 3-2 win against the Montreal Canadiens at Rogers Place on Thursday. Bouchard, who also had an assist, tapped in a pass from Connor McDavid at the side of the net.
