An expert hired to get rid of a snake slithering around a South Oklahoma City mobile home park found a python that was 13 feet long and had been in the neighborhood for around five months.

The 48-lot Apache Mobile Home Park, located along Arroyo Drive in west Durango, provides affordable housing in a town where the median home price was $928,500 in 2024.

Natalie Going, a resident of Apache, said the community aims to replicate the success of Animas View Mobile Home Park, where residents formed a co-op to buy the property July 2021.
