June 24 (UPI) -- The Portland Trail Blazers agreed to a trade for Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday. Sources told ESPN, The Athletic and the Boston Globe about the agreement Monday night. The Blazers agreed to send guard Anfernee Simons and two second-round picks to the Celtics in exchange for Holiday.

The Celtics traded a first round pick, big man Robert Williams III, and former Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon to Portland for Holiday, with the Celtics having done well in these deals to manage their needs at each juncture without an outlay of considerable draft assets to get each of these trades across the finish line.
