On a wave of seemingly endless change for Middletown, the city’s mayor has plans, hopes and ideas for her city. Mayor Elizabeth Slamka was elected in November 2023, taking office in January 2024.

A little more than a year and a half since opening, Irie Smoothie Cafe in Middletown has expanded with a food truck, hoping to reach more customers and test nearby markets.
