Microsoft has made a series of changes to how Microsoft 365 (M365) support updates are done, and is encouraging enterprises to move to more frequent, or even monthly, software updates.

Windows 11 is Microsoft’s latest operating system. While Windows 10 will still work after Microsoft ends support for it, it makes sense to update to the new version sooner rather than later.

Support for Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2025. After that date, if you're running Microsoft 365 Apps on a Windows 10 device, the applications will continue to function as before.

Support for Microsoft 365 apps will now go all the way up to Tuesday, October 10, 2028. That's as per an updated support document published by Microsoft and spotted by The Verge.
