Since the Mexican Baseball Fiesta started in 2011, "you can see attendance increasing," Feder said. In recent years, each game is "probably averaging over 4,000 (fans)," according to Feder.

Until now, the Mexican Pacific Winter league has never played a regular season game in the United States. This weekend, Obregon and Mexicali played a three game series right here in Tucson.

The Wildcats’ game was a part of the Mexican Baseball Fiesta, a four day event at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium at Kino Sports Complex in Tucson from Oct. 3-6.
