The Memphis Grizzlies have traded up and selected the draft rights to Cedric Coward out of Washington State with the 11th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft on June 25, the NBA announced.

The Memphis Grizzlies used the No. 48 pick to select Javon Small from the West Virginia Mountaineers. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 18.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists in the 2024-2025 season.

An aggressive move up the draft boards Memphis hasn’t been afraid to trade up in recent years when it likes a player. At No. 16, the Grizzlies are right outside of the lottery.
