Photos of the display show a statue of Joseph looking down on a statue of Mary, holding baby Jesus. It is similar to a manger scene, except the family is surround by a small chain link fence.

A Byzantine icon brought to Venice in 1349 depicts Mary and baby Jesus. In the Eastern Orthodox tradition, from around the sixth century until the present, the child Jesus looks like a little man.

St. Anne and mother Mary are draped in painfully bright fuchsia, mint, and deep red robes. Sweet baby Jesus, meanwhile, looks like a divine Skittle, or maybe a sanctified tennis ball.
