Marshall University President Brad Smith, the dinner’s keynote speaker, said the Mid-Ohio Valley chapter of the alumni association is one of the most active chapters in the country.

At 4 p.m. Friday, the Marshall University Foundation and Alumni Association will celebrate the 25th and 50th classes on the patio of Brad D. Smith Foundation Hall.

Garvis is the president of the Marshall 75 Alumni Chapter- formed in April 2023. The chapter, in conjunction with Marshall University, is behind the scholarship fund.
