A fire on board a CalMac ferry with 107 passengers on board has led to sailings being cancelled on the route for at least the next three days in the latest setback for the west coast operator.

Andy Serkis - who originated the live-action role of Gollum in Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy - will star in and direct "Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum".

A second season is on the way. An animated "Lord of the Rings" movie, "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim," is also set for release by Warner Bros. on Dec. 13.
