Portland Fire, whose name and logo were revealed July 15, is a nod back to the Rose City's former WNBA team, which played between 2000 and 2002.

The Portland Fire announced its name and new logo exclusively on "Good Morning America" as the team returns to the City of Roses for the 2026 WNBA season.

According to the press release, the team's colors are fire red, brown, blue and pink. It's a different logo and color scheme from the original Portland Fire team from the early 2000s.

As part of the team's upcoming 100th anniversary celebration, the Detroit Red Wings unveiled a new anniversary logo along with a host of activities slated for the 2025-26 season.
