Local News 'It was fun': Almost 60 groups take part in Junior Lilac Festival in downtown Spokane People from close to 60 different groups and schools marched through downtown with music and smiles.

Lilac City Comicon is open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Spokane Convention Center.

The festival, which started in 1908, regularly attracts more than 500,000 people. The Lilac Festival Farmers Market will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 14.
