A village in Chicago’s south suburbs is poised to purchase Pope Leo XIV’s childhood home after its board voted Tuesday to take control of the property.

During the celebration, Pope Leo XIV revived the ancient tradition of personally imposing the pallium on new metropolitan archbishops.
