A Discovery Place Kids museum is set to join a revamped Matthews Elementary School, featuring a nearby new Stumptown Park by 2030 in suburban Charlotte NC.

The development and management agreement covers an initial 10-year term for the Discovery Place Kids location. Three five-year extensions are available under the agreement as well, documents state.

Many kids today are living highly scheduled lives. They don't have time to slow down and find themselves. Do-nothing time without devices leaves space for creativity, possibility, and regeneration.
