Construction worker Heber Enoc Diaz of Pasadena was convicted of brutally slaying Chyong Jen Tsai, 76, with a hammer, a jab saw and a box cutter during a 2019 burglary.

A second construction worker, identified as a 47-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The 49-year-old driver who caused the crash also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
