LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) - The body of a woman missing from La Crosse has been recovered. According to La Crosse police, at 10:28 a.m., on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the La Crosse Police Department was informed by the Houston County Sheriff’s Department that a body was found.

Eliotte Heinz's body was found in the Mississippi River near Brownsville, Minn., after a three-day search. La Crosse Police Department is investigating the cause of death.
