Police confirmed Thursday night that human remains discovered off Ke Iki Beach matched the DNA profile of missing teen Joseph “Joey” Fujioka.

HPD confirms that the human remains found at Ke Iki Beach match the DNA of one of the teens that were reported missing on Oahu’s North Shore.

Their belongings were discovered by relatives on Ke Iki Beach the next morning, the bulletin states: "Family and friends are concerned for their safety and well-being.” ...

Susie Jett, 72, her daughter, Laura Rich, 41, and a 63-year-old man from California were caught by a large wave while at Ke Iki Beach on Monday, Oct. 14, according to a Hawaii local news channel.

Two people who were swept out to sea by a large wave on the North Shore of Oahu have died, authorities in Honolulu have confirmed.
