The 20 series of John Deere tractors began with the introduction of the 420 Model in 1955. The next year the 320, 420, 520, 620 and the 720 came along and in 1957 along came the 820.

The John Deere 4010 was tested at the Nebraska Tractor Test Lab soon after it was introduced. The 302-cubic-inch LP-gas and gasoline engines developed 80.6 and 80.9 PTO horsepower, respectively.

The Albrechts bought the tractor on Dec. 30, 2015, paying $462,229, according to their lawsuit. The tractor was destroyed when it caught on fire while being operated on Oct. 30, 2017.
