Eileen Fulton, the actress who originated the soap opera 'vixen' trope as Lisa Miller on CBS' As the World Turns, died July 14.

Her obituary notes she also authored a series of mystery novels. Fulton retired in 2019 and moved back to Black Mountain, N.C. Her funeral services will be held there on Aug. 9.

Fulton also wrote a handful of books, including a series of murder-mystery novels called “Soap Opera.” Deadline said she retired in 2019 and moved to North Carolina.
