James Harden is declining his player option with the LA Clippers, with plans to sign a two-year, $81.5 million deal to remain with the team, with a partially guaranteed player option for the 2026-27 season,

James Harden and the LA Clippers have had a strong partnership since the guard arrived in Los Angeles two years ago.

The future Hall of Famer can opt out of his contract and seek a longer deal or test free agency, but President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank says he wants him “for a long time.”
