Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak announced Tuesday that the man pulled from the river was Benny Leo Olson of Illinois. Olson’s body was pulled from the river in September 1994 near Rush Island.

The Mississippi River at Lock and Dam 15, Rock Island, is forecast to crest at 20 feet at about 7 a.m. Monday and remain there through Tuesday before the floodwaters begin to slowly recede.
