The Great Forest Park Balloon Race is one of the country’s longest-running hot air balloon races and the only one held in a large metropolitan city. The tradition began in 1973.

The annual Great Forest Park Balloon Race will return to St. Louis on September 20 and 21, featuring hot air balloons, food trucks, music, games, and the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.
