Michigan could see snow, ice, thunderstorms and tornadoes, just days after an ice storm knocked out power to thousands of people in the state.
Marathon, Shawano, and Taylor Counties will also be affected. The storm is expected to make travel nearly impossible, particularly on highways and rural roads. Forecasters warn that ice-laden trees and power lines could fall, resulting in prolonged power outages.

The National Weather Service has a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for counties including Stearns, Benton and Sherburne. It will be in effect until 1:00 a.m. on Thursday., Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations up to 4 inches and ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch from sleet and freezing rain.
CCE Central Dispatch, covering Charlevoix, Cheboygan and Emmet counties, issued a warning on Facebook urging people to use caution if they must travel today.
