Florida has removed its two-week hurricane tax holiday and replaced it with year-round tax exempt items.

The 2025 hurricane season officially began Sunday, June 1. NOAA forecasts an above-average 2025 hurricane season with up to 19 named storms, including 6–10 hurricanes and 3–5 major ones.
