When i burn a CD using WinXP's built in CD burning support, or Adaptec Easy CD Creator 5, i don't have to eject the CD in order for the system to mount the newly burned CD and read stuff off of it ...

1. Use Command-E to eject the CD or DVD. 2. You can also just drag and drop the CD/DVD icon onto the trash. This will eject the optical media, it won’t delete it.
