Speak to Garl at a campfire to receive the Hook of Time. Speak to him again and he'll point to Stillpond Island on the map, stating he feels a connection between the hook and the island.

When fighting enemies in Sea of Stars, characters can partner up to perform powerful Combos, and some of them are learnt from Combo Scrolls that can be collected as you play through the game.
