Mega Charizard X can be unlocked by obtaining Charizardite X in Pokemon X. Notably, transforming into Mega Charizard X makes the creature change type, from a Fire-Flying type to a Fire-Dragon type.

Shiny Mega Charizard X has a stat spread of 273 (ATK), 213 (DEF), and 186 STA, whereas Shiny Mega Charizard Y’s stats spread comprises 319 (ATK), 212 (DEF), and 186 (STA).
