FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - Fulton County residents are voicing strong opposition to a proposed 12% property tax increase, criticizing local leaders for ignoring the financial strain on everyday homeowners.

FULTON COUNTY, GA — If you are a homeowner in Fulton County, you are being urged to check your 2025 property tax assessment online. The county says they have mailed out the notices.

Fulton County residents expressed concerns about a proposed property tax hike, citing inflation, high housing costs, and the lack of affordable options for seniors and low-income residents.

The owner of a home valued at $200,000 qualifying for Fulton County’s standard 30 percent homestead exemption will pay additional taxes of $78.50 a year, or $6.54 a month.
