MANOR, Texas (KXAN) – The Manor ISD superintendent said classes at Manor Senior High School will be canceled for the rest of the week while the community mourns the loss of a student.

The district will gather at the Manor Athletics Complex on Friday at 6:30 p.m. to honor Loving's life with a vigil. Manor ISD has asked the community to dress in Western attire for the vigil.

The incident at Manor Senior High School left 18-year-old Darrin Loving dead after he was allegedly stabbed in the chest with a large knife by 18-year-old Mac Brown Mbah Mbanwei.

Manor ISD Superintendent Dr. Robert Sormani said Darrin Loving's death will now play a major role in how the school upgrades security.
