June's full moon, also known as the "strawberry moon," will be the lowest full moon that has appeared in the night sky in nearly 20 years.
The full moon reached peak illumination in the United States on Wednesday, June 11, at 3:45 a.m. ET, according to the U.S. Naval Observatory's astronomical applications department.
